The CIRCLE OF LIFE
The Circle of Life, when I heard of it, I immediately thought of Lion King. Then, as I continued reading in my health coach certification program at Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) more about it. It truly gave me an ‘aha’ moment; because imbalance is a word that can definitely define my past few years with health, and even functioning! For how long have you been trying to balance everything in life? How long have you been trying everything, but still feel stuck? The Circle of Life is a valuable tool for better understanding your unique needs and how to find balance when you’re feeling stuck. By becoming more self-aware of what areas feel nourished and which could use more attention, you will discover how to continuously take care of your body, mind, and soul.
I learned how to identify areas in my life that were out of balance and how to find more satisfaction and balance in those particular areas. While everything may not be balanced, we work on the areas in the circle to create more balance. According to IIN, the purpose of the Circle of Life is to “discover which non-food areas in our lives we are missing, and how to incorporate more joy and satisfaction into our lives.”
The 12 areas in the circle include:
Spirituality
Creativity
Finances
Career
Education
Health
Physical Activity
Home Cooking
Home Environment
Relationships
Social Life
Joy
